Bridging funding gaps
Small and medium sized businesses may have difficulty in raising finance from normal commercial sources. If your business has a good, viable proposal for which you have managed to secure at least 50% of the funding, then the West of Scotland Loan Fund may be able to bridge the gap. Helping businesses to grow
Whether your business is new or established we want to see it grow. The Lanarkshire Sustainable Business Programme awards competitive, discretionary grants, up to 50% of project costs, to a maximum of £5,000. You can use this to support agreed capital expenditure or infrastructure improvements.
Grant support towards consultancy costs and start-up costs is also available. For consultancy, a grant of up to 50% of total project costs is available to a maximum of £2,000. Supporting company training and development
Any business's strength lies in its people. Lanarkshire Business Training Support can provide grant funding towards the training of all company personnel. A grant of up to 50% of total training costs is available, up to a maximum of £3,000, towards the engagement of an external training consultant. Funding is available for a wide range of training, customised to individual company needs, to support company development. Supplying the Scottish public sector
We want to see North Lanarkshire businesses win public sector contracts and the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) could help. SDP can provide companies with information, training, news and details of events that will give an in-depth knowledge of the public sector procurement processes.
