A natural location
Gartcosh Business Interchange is a new 50-hectare business location situated in Lanarkshire at the heart of Scotland's road and rail network. Selected as the location for the major new office campus for SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency), Gartcosh provides a unique mix of commercial success and environmental sustainability.
The 80 acre nature reserve that borders Gartcosh Business Interchange belies the location's scale and connectivity. Situated just 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre, Gartcosh has dedicated full diamond interchange access to the M73 motorway and has its own railway station providing a half-hourly service to Glasgow and surrounding Lanarkshire towns.
Bordering Gartcosh village, Gartcosh Business Interchange is within a few miles drive time of three of the region's thriving new and historic towns Cumbernauld, Coatbridge and Airdrie, with a total population of around 125,000. Furthermore, the site's central location provides access to 1.5 million working age adults within an hour's travel time, offering diverse skills supported by a cultural commitment to enterprise.
Sustainability and connectivity are at the heart of the Gartcosh proposition. Pedestrian and cycle access is provided to the Park, including pathways to the local nature reserve and to surrounding villages including the Duck's Walk linking Marnoch to Gartcosh. Cycle parking is provided at the new railway station and a cycle/pedestrian link to the Strathkelvin walkway/ cycleway is planned for the future.
Underlining its pivotal position, Gartcosh is a 15-minute drive from a major European Freight Terminal.
"Gartcosh is Scotland's newest strategic business location and offers occupiers unbeatable transport links and connectivity."
Mike Buchan, Jones Lang Lasalle
