Could your business benefit from a fresh approach and some extra help? As organisers of the Step Programme, WEA Scotland is looking for small to medium sized businesses to place undergraduate students with to carry out a project over the summer.

What is Step?

A dynamic national programme, providing the UK's brightest and most committed undergraduates with the best work experience opportunities in the country.

  • 8 week full-time Summer project based student placement
  • The chance to have the latest knowledge and enthusiasm and commitment of some of the brightest young people in the country.
  • The chance to make a real difference to your business
  • A generous subsidy for the cost of the programme

The project can be of your choosing and something that will add value and help your organisation to develop its profile, run more smoothly or whatever your particular organisation needs.

Projects undertaken by students in 2009 included:

Research - new products, niche markets, business development ideas...

Improve - operational procedures, information managements systems...

Create - in-house promotional materials, marketing strategies, new product development ...

Innovate - all STEP students offer new ideas and options to help move their host companies forward
