11th Aug 2009 - Bjorn Again at racecourse's Flower of Scotland day

Hamilton Park Racecourse

After the sell-out success of the X Factor Family Night at Hamilton Park a few weeks ago, the racecourse has once again secured a big name act for its Flower of Scotland Family Day.

Closing what has been a great season of racing will be an act that has a fan base spanning all ages.  Björn Again will be entertaining the crowds, with their rendition of ABBA hits at Hamilton Park on Sunday 20th September.

Now hailed as the most popular and successful act of its type in the world, Björn Again was founded more than 20 years ago, and has enjoyed a career far longer than the act that has since made them famous.

"It's such a coup for us to book Björn Again for our closing weekend, especially as they've had such a hectic schedule playing at some of Europe's top festivals this summer" said Vivien Kyles, chief executive at the racecourse.

"With something for everyone, young and old, our Flower of Scotland Family Day combines the right mix of racing and entertainment.  From free children's entertainment to Björn Again's top class show, this is sure to be a fantastic end to our racing season.

Other off the track entertainment includes ceramics painting, a paintball shooting gallery, ball pool, Laser Quest, fairground rides and stalls, hair braiders, moonwalk bouncy castle, face painting and a temporary tattooist.

Tickets for Flower of Scotland Family Day are on sale now and available by calling 01698 283806 or through www.hamilton-park.co.uk. Tickets cost from £13, with a Family ticket starting at £26 (for 2 adults and 2 children).  There is free parking available and children under 16 get in free when accompanied by an adult.
