08th Sep 2009 - ABBA are Bjorn Again at Hamilton Park

As ABBA mania once again sweeps the UK, Hamilton Park is gearing up to welcome super group Björn Again to the stage for Flower of Scotland Family Day on Sunday (September 20).

With ABBA's own Benny and Bjorn hosting ‘Thank You For The Music...A Celebration of the Music of Abba' - a star studded concert in London's Hyde Park the previous Sunday - it presents the perfect opportunity for Hamilton Park to pay homage to the Super Swedes.

Björn Again will perform a selection of classic hits from the ABBA songbook and show Hamilton crowds why they have gained a reputation as a crowd pleaser with music fans the world over.

In addition to the full concert after racing, the racecourse will also be laying on free entertainment for the family to enjoy, including, a paintball shooting gallery, ball pool, Laser Quest, fairground rides and stalls, hair braiders, moonwalk bouncy castle, face painting, and a temporary tattooist. There will also be a special visit from the Golden Lions Parachute Display team, who will be performing above the racecourse before the racing action gets underway.

There will be lots of top quality racing action too, with a total prize fund of £71,000 up for grabs. The feature race will be the totesuper7 Buttonhook Handicap worth £20,000.

As always, children under 16 will get in free when accompanied by an adult and there is ample free parking at the racecourse.
