A great place to do business - that's one of the main themes of the first Lanarkshire Business Week.
A number of events will showcase the range of support available to local businesses from North and South Lanarkshire Councils, celebrate the success of Lanarkshire businesses and provide networking and development opportunities for all.
From Monday 27 February, culminating in the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards on Friday 2 March, the Week will see over 30 events, seminars and workshops taking place throughout Lanarkshire.
All Lanarkshire Business Week events are free and open to all, regardless of age, sector or location of business. The week aims to act as a springboard for entrepreneurial spirit and a shop window for fresh opportunities.
Although both councils are the main organisers of Lanarkshire Business week, a number of other partner organisations are involved in hosting and running events throughout the week.
They include Business Gateway, Scottish Enterprise, Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce, Jobcentre Plus, Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust, Tourism Associations, Lanarkshire Colleges Consortium, CeeD, Carbon Trust, Skills Development Scotland, HMRC and University of the West of Scotland.
In order to help local companies, North and South Lanarkshire Councils have joined forces to publicise and celebrate the success of Lanarkshire businesses, provide networking and promote development opportunities for all.
An exciting programme of events, seminars and workshops will be held throughout the region for start up, growing and mature businesses based within Lanarkshire.
