Lanarkshire's top business talents are gearing up for one of the year's most prestigious awards ceremonies.

 

The Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards 2011 give organisations the chance to promote their achievements to the wider business community and celebrate their success with them.

 

A high number of entries has ensured this year's competition is fierce - with the Awards open to a wide range of Lanarkshire's dynamic business talents.

 

Finalists have now been chosen by a panel of judges and, as the clock ticks down towards the glittering awards dinner, we'll be taking a look at the companies shortlisted in each category.

 

This week it is the turn of the Lanarkshire's Best Green Business, Lanarkshire Food and Drink and Innovation in Business award categories.

 

Around 400 top innovators and influencers from the cream of the area's business and enterprise are set to attend the event at the AlonA Hotel on Friday 11th March 2011. BBC radio presenter and top Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay will be fronting the ceremony.

 

The awards are hosted by North and South Lanarkshire Councils and sponsors include AlonA Hotel, Coatbridge College, Cumbernauld College, Lanarkshire Area Tourism Partnership, Healthcare Environmental Group, Lanarkshire Enterprise Services, Motherwell College, Saltire, South Lanarkshire College, SSE, UK Steel Enterprise and Westcrowns Contracting Services.
