A clutch of local businesses have 15,000 reasons to be happy.
The four new tenants at Netherdale Park at Netherton in Wishaw have each won a year's rent-free lease in one of the new showcase business units, worth more than £15,000 in total.
The 'Nether Mind the Rent' competition was organised by North Lanarkshire Council in conjunction with Business Gateway Lanarkshire.
In addition to the unit, each of the firms has scooped a year's free support and after-care package from a dedicated business adviser at Business Gateway.
The winners are:
- BasketsOf.com - an online gift basket business for those looking for quality, good value and something different. www.basketsof.com
- Caldervale Blacksmiths - providing steel fabrication and mobile welding services to domestic and commercial customers. www.caldervaleblacksmiths.com
- Littlewhitehead - international visual artists whp provide artwork for commercial and public gallery exhibitions, as well as client commisions. www.littlewhitehead.com
- Plan Bee Ltd - urban Scottish honey producer providing the highest quality cold-pressed raw honey and ancillary by-products. www.planbeeltd.com
Netherdale park is a new development of 24 small business units at Netherdale Road in Wishaw. The units have been developed by North Lanarkshire Council in response to demand from small businesses looking for high quality premises.
