North Lanarkshire Council is developing a family of Supplementary Planning Guidance to complement the Local Plan policies. They aim to provide you with helpful and succinct guidance to what the planning system will expect.

When amended and adopted they become material planning considerations in the Development Management process.

Updates

The FDNLLP consultation period is now closed with all valid representations assessed and reported to the Council in January 2010 and April 2010. All unresolved objections now go to Local Plan Examination administered and conducted by the Scottish Government Directorate of Environmental and Planning Appeals. This is due to start August 2010.

Community Growth Areas - Concept Statements

Finalised Community Growth Area Concepts Statements are available as Supplementary Guidance and now available for download. Contact the New Communities Team at Dalziel Building, Scott Street, Motherwell for further information.

In due course the Council will be preparing Town Centre Action Plans.
